This workshop will take a deep dive into Part 2 of the English Regents exam. Teachers will learn strategies to help students manage their time to write an argumentative essay that synthesizes multiple texts and incorporate these writing skills into continuous instruction, transcending the limited requirements of the exam itself. Target audience: English and special education teachers, grades 9-12. (This workshop, because it draws from the ELA Reading and Writing Standards, is also relevant to grades 6-8).
